(LLP) I lead, I Serve

At Teck Whye Primary School, every CHAMP is a leader. Our Learning for Life Programme (LLP), inspired by Kouzes and Posner’s Leadership Model, is designed to nurture confident, compassionate, responsible and adaptive leaders. Guided by the ‘I Lead, I Serve’ framework: Leadership through Engagement, Action and Development, the programme develops lifelong leadership skills through meaningful experiences and opportunities.
Students embark on a progressive journey of leadership development through:
-
Leadership for All: Every student takes on meaningful roles that build resilience, confidence and personal growth.
-
Engagement in Service: Students actively contribute to peers, the school and the community, developing empathy and social responsibility.
-
Action-Oriented Roles: Leadership is practiced through hands-on activities that empower initiative and problem-solving.
-
Development through Mentorship: Senior student leaders mentor junior leaders, fostering teamwork, communication and collaboration.
Key leadership opportunities include:
-
Student Council and CCA Leaders: Students from Primary 3 to 6 take on important responsibilities, organize events and mentor peers.
-
Safety CHAMPs, Class Committees and Morning Assembly Presenters: Students practice collaboration, accountability and public speaking.
-
Peer Support Leaders/CHAMPfluencers: Students serve as role models, fostering inclusivity and providing emotional support.
At the heart of the programme is a commitment to service and compassion, cultivating leaders who inspire others and thrive in their future roles at home, work and society.
