Nature Society (Singapore)’s Every Singaporean A Naturalist (NSS ESN) Awards 2023
The Green Club of Teck Whye Primary School participated in three programmes organised by the Singapore Nature Society’s Every Singaporean A Naturalist Group, that is, the Annual Biodiversity Race, the Skills Achievement Programme and the Most Improved Award from 2022 to 2023.
We are very delighted to announce that in the Annual Biodiversity Race, our Teck Whye team, which comprised Kimberly Teo (P5-2), Kee Ke Xin (P5-4), Golimlim Empress (P6-4) and Mohamed Aydin (P6-5), achieved 1st in the three categories, that is, Highest number of species with research-grade observation, Most unique observation and Best-photographed observation!
In the Skills Achievement Programme, Dhia Thurayyah (P5-1), Tiara Imani (P5-2), Kimberly Teo (P5-2), Nur Eeshal (P5-3) and Kee Ke Xin (P5-4) had successfully achieved the Novice Naturalist for Birds certificate and badge upon the completion of the written and practical tasks given to them.
The Most Improved Award from 2022 to 2023 is given to certify schools with outstanding achievement in nature observations within the school compound in the year 2023 compared to the year 2022. Our school successfully achieved 3rd place in the Most Improved Award with 14 more observations of birds and butterflies this year compared to last year.
