Bangsawan Cup 2023

Teck Whye Primary School participated in the Bangsawan Cup 2023, organised by Opera Academy (Singapore), on 19 October 2023. In this Malay opera competition held at Wisma Geylang Serai, the students showcased their talents through acting, singing and reciting  poetry in their captivating rendition of the fairytale classic, Cinderella. 

Team A, composed of our Primary 5 Malay Language students, received the Certificate of Merit for their performance, while our Primary 3 students in Team B were awarded the Certificate of Distinction and also clinched the Best Overall Performance award. Other notable achievements attained by our CHAMPs in this competition include:

  • Best Actor: Zickry Ilhan Bin Ahmad Irwin of P3-4 (Team B)

  • Best Actress: Nura Farhain Binte Muhammad Fadzly of P3-4 (Team B)

  • Best Supporting Actress: Ratrisha Naema Purwana of P5-5 (Team A)

  • Best Costume:  Team B
