2015 Term 4

Dear Parents/Guardians

1. An eventful 2015 is drawing to a close soon. We had many reasons to celebrate in this year of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee. Staff, students and even parents had participated in a wide range of activities to express their joy, thankfulness and hopes during the various SG50 events, I am sure some of their experiences would have left an indelible mark in their memories. Let us now look forward to an even brighter future and play our parts in realising our aspirations. Anchored in our core values, we need to continue to find innovative and effective ways of teaching, learning and working, and to contribute actively and positively to our community and country.

2015 Term 3

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students 1. Thank you for your strong support in the first semester and we look forward to the same spirit of partnership and unity in the upcoming one. 2. We take this opportunity to express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who had lost their lives in the earthquake at Mount Kinabalu on 5 June including the 7 students and 2 teachers from Tanjong Katong Primary School (TKPS). We stand in solidarity with the staff of TKPS in grieving the loss. While we feel the pain of the loss, we must move forward resolutely and confidently in carrying out our mission of nurturing the best in every child.

Dear Parents/Guardians

We are well into the new year and I hope it has been a good start for you.
In the beginning of the year (letter dated 6 Jan 2015), I had shared about what the school will focus on over the next few years. We call these our strategic thrusts. They are:
1. Providing a balanced curriculum that emphasises strong fundamentals and future learning
2. Creating a learner-centred school conducive for teaching and learning
3. Growing a quality and committed staff
4. Engaging community and key stakeholders
5. Strengthening the TWPS Culture

Dear Parents/Guardians

Another exciting school year has dawned upon us and I wish all of you a very happy and meaningful new year. We look forward to more learning, better relationships with those around us and further opportunities to use what we have learnt meaningfully. 2014 has been a good year for the school on many fronts and we look forward to build on this in 2015.
